My name is Ruby Shrestha. I am an international student in the US. I am a graduating student majoring in Computer Science at University of Louisiana at Lafayette. I am always excited to learn new skills and implement them. I am passionate about critical thinking and and problem solving. I am available for any opportunities that will help me challenge myself and grow out as a better person.

Fun Facts: I enjoy dancing. I love traveling and exploring in nature. I am a true potterhead and I love to binge watch Marvel movies and F.R.I.E.N.D.S .

Development Intern

Date Range: May 2022 - present
Responsibilities:

Develop .net framework desktop application to map files and leverage team productivity daily by an approximate of an hour.
Create an automated workflow using Power Automate and cut down working time by approximately two hours for each process.
Currently working on designing and creating a program using Python and Pandas library to automate the process of cleaning and analyzing data from dump files, thereby aiming to increase the efficiency by 20%.

Information Services Intern
Ochsner Health - New Orleans, LA
Date Range: May 2021 - May 2022
Responsibilities:

Collaborated with team members to gather and translate user requests into technical solutions as reports and dashboards.
Compiled and polished end user training materials therewith lowering total number of end users’ request and hence reducing the team workload.
Proposed the usage of a new tool in ServiceNow to team, which was adopted and optimized team workflows.
Worked alongside team in data scrubbing using Pandas and delivered optimized reports to client within allocated time.

Virtual Internship Program Intern

Responsibilities:

This six weeks internship program focuses on preparing and training students for the workforce by providing different leadership and entrepreneurship classes.
Interns learn about technology, communication, finance and marketing that will prepare them for their career launch.
Interns are assigned with capstone project where they work in group to meet the expectation.This project provides them real world experience.

This organization brings all the Nepali students in Lafayette area together and reflects the Nepali culture by conducting different gatherings.

Mission

I aspire to be a developer working and contributing in healthcare industry. I want to work alongside consultants (rheumatologist and nephrologists) and researched in computational advancements in diagnosis of auto immune disease like Lupus.

As cliché as it may sound, my utlimate goal in life is to stay happy and cherish every little moments.

Values

Honesty, Loyalty and Consistency are the most important values of my life. I believe that these three personality traits will lead us to our success. Likewise, hardwork, dedication and patience are another values I strongly believe in. There is no such thing as luck and destiny. It is our passion and hardwork that help us succeed in life.
